In December, the last month of the year, we acknowledge the power center of Life which is located in the generative function of our body. Its color is red and the disciple who represents Life is Judas. The physical location is the generative or sexual organs. Many students, of course, wonder about Judas’ representation. After all, he betrayed Jesus. Charles Fillmore who had the revelation about our 12 spiritual gifts or powers said that Judas as a symbol is very necessary. Judas, or Life, “carries the bag;” he is the treasurer of our system,--a thief, selfish, proud, ambitious, tyrannical; he cannot be spared, his faults must be overcome. He cannot be ignored because before lifting up our life idea to a higher level of consciousness, our Judas nature must be overcome.
In November we celebrate Thanksgiving. The month also symbolizes for New Thought believers our Power Center of Elimination/Renunciation/Purification. The disciple associated with this power is Thaddeus. Its physical location is at the ganglionic center at the base of the spine from which Thaddeus is said to supervise the elimination of waste from the body and the activity of the organs of the lower digestive tract, his higher activity being the elimination of thoughts and feelings contrary to those of God-consciousness. The color is russet-brown.
October for New Thought believers is about Zeal/Enthusiasm. This is a scripture to affirm daily. “It is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing.”(Gal.4:18) . Another good affirmation is “I use my gift of enthusiasm to help me achieve in all my endeavors.” The disciple representing this center is Simon, known as the Zealot, before he joined Jesus’ group. Its physical location is the back of the head. Its color is orange. Zeal may be defined as the “impulse to go forward”; the “urge” moving all things from stagnation and inertia toward activity.
The month September has as its theme Order, “the First Law of Heaven” it is often said. “I use my gift of Order to keep my mind, body and affair in proper sequence” is a good statement for an affirmation about Order. “Let all things be done and decently and in order” is a scripture we need to affirm daily.” (1 Cor. 14:40) James, the son of Alphaeus, is the disciple. Its physical location as a power center is the navel. Its color is dark or Kelly green
